Ellen + Alex

Ellen and Alex are an amazing couple who wanted to elope under the near constant cover of clouds, in beautiful Cannon Beach. To get to this destination we flew into Portland and had a about a 2 hour drive to get to the jaw-dropping location. Ellen, a lady lawyer, and Patrick a military man had to endure an absolutely crazy storm the night prior to the elopement known as a bomb cyclone.

This bomb cyclone ravaged the land and created very rainy and dreary weather. They day of the elopement we headed out the the beach but the rain interpured us moving us to the best spot during rainfall; the rainforest. We spent a lot of time walking around, taking in the beauty while huddling under umbrellas. The Cannon Beach rainforest is so gorgeous with lots of lush greenery. We got some stunning shots in the rainforest and after the rain stopped we headed back onto the beach.

As we were leaving the rainforest, beautiful light came out the greet us. Some of the most beautiful light comes from after the storm so we took full advantage of that. The weather calmed down a bit and we were able to appreciate Cannon Beach completely. We were at the Rock Haystacks embracing the cold, wet, and windy weather weathering the storm for an epic Oregon elopement.
